Tao's center is happy to host Juditta Ben David and Michael Shachrur for Surrender to the NOW, an awareness group through meditation mindfulness and motion.

5 days of Breath, meditation, authentic movement, laughing, writing, some somatic experiencing.. lots of Being and Presence... just this just now.

To be fully present is in effect the simplest act of Being... yet... somehow it gets complicated along the way.. So, it is an invitation to meet that simplicity again :-)

Have been teaching Death and Dying from the Buddhist perspective
lately and for my kind students I'd like to embed a beautiful video
on the Subject with Love.

So Much has happened.. and it's Spring

SO much has happened! Life. I've moved a house, to the western Galille, delightful area with hills olives and sea, a multicultural texture of druze christians muslims jews some buddhists and even some Bahhai. A lovely spacious house that would love to host workshops, especially ones that have an inclination to Mindfulness and psychotherapy, the body and music. Suggestions will be welcomed. We shall post our offers here soon.

Joined a women group that studies the IFS, Internal Family System, together with REC (re-evaluation counseling) in Nazareth. Being part of a peace work women group, connecting the communities in this area, in this neighbourhood, is such an inspiring nourishing and joyful endeavor.

And then an Article has appeared ! About Somatic Experiencing, my work here and in Africa, Whow, the people at Chaim Acherim have done a great job, thanks a lot. Meanwhile it has been published in Hebrew, we hope it will be translated soon. You can read it here :-)

Preparing for the ESTD conference, trauma and dissociation, Ireland 2010, where I will be presenting about cross cultural trauma therapy, and will be giving two workshops as an introduction to SE. Excited curious and patient at once. Mainly working and cooking a ppt...mmm

Last and not least, a Mindfulness workshop. This April, the 25th eve, in kibbutz Evron. A set of 7 meetings, in the tradition of Vipassana/teravada, an introduction to the art of Mindfulness. My friend Tagrid Musa from the arabic village of Abu Snan will join me in the facilitation of this course. Oh it's summer again

Hi, amazing how the sun continues to shine, and the earth to revolve... and so we move from winter to spring and finally Summer.. Decided to share with you some projects from these last months before another academic year makes its demanding entry.

Mikki and I offered a lovely three day workshop at the Israeli Clinical Psychologists Conference in Geinosar, and it was received with curiousity and genuine participation. Rave reviews. The name being: Surrender to the Now, when letting Go became letting Be. A workshop of Mindfulness and Presence through the Body, laced with discussions and theory for the practitioner.

The Spiritual care givers course at the "Achva" foundation was delightful. There, in their year long course I offered three modules:

The Consultation/guidance relationship- tools for the practitioner,

Listening - the precious ingredient and How to be with,

Tuesdays with Morrie- the film and discussion.

And yet another year of teaching at Wingate Institute at the Holistic and Integrative Group Facilitators program has ended.. Whow.. Such a fruitful and strong year unfolded there. Two groups of intense students, a beautiful program based in experiential learning, mindfulness as well as critical thinking, amazing team of teachers, and honest personal Inquiry. We met for a semesterial course of Death and Dying- pain, loss and bearevement from a Buddhist eye.

Next year I have been asked to share also the module of Mindfulness. What a treat :-)

Looking forward to offer the taste of Presence Mindfulness and Psychotherapy in the north here as well as in South Africa and another European country that I shall share with you when it will be finalized. The teachings of Somatic Experiencing (SE) just deepening this subject even more. We shall also be offering two day SE workshops here and abroad, I shall keep you posted... with the help of some new assistants !! Many thanks to all those that support this work, Efrat and Amit, your help is appreciated greatly.

I want to thank all of the people involved in the fund raising event :-) whow, it was such a delightful evening, and so much kindness was in the air towards it, real time, and after. Great music, Dancing away with the African group, superb setting with the sea and Jaffa, people showed curiousity and support about the project & the women, 180 people showed up! I think it's a great sign, and an inspiring beginning. May we have a beautiful fruitful and kind year of generous manifestations. Amen.

Another step in the ToWo project.. and what's up

The ToWo project is getting a lot of attention lately. We're planning a great afternoon party on the Beach of Old Jaffa in October, as a fund raising party. Please check in with http://www.towogroup.blogspot.com for more info about this unique design for rural African women, a trauma therapy and video documentation model. We've been contacted by a group of Ethiopian women here in Israel, to work with them as well, years after their long frightening intimidating walk through sudan, to crumble the fear out of their system, and with an idea to go back with the video skills to make a movie of their journey.
We're excited about this as well as working with rural women in the WozaMoya community, South Africa, women tending to AIDS/HIV patients, orphans and families in KwazuluNatal SA.
Here and in Africa, the women want to move into more resiliency, more self esteem, more skills, and the ability to sound, create, and manifest in modern society their voices in courage and pride.
We really need all the help you can give...

It's festival time..

and here in Israel, it's the time of Festivals :-)
Just returned from the Sagol festival, at the Dor beach, where Rhonda and I gave the Vibrational Healing workshops with a beautiful and enthusiastic audience of some 50 people. The angels came to visit us through our sound, breath, and laughter.
This coming weekend I will be giving two workshops with a drummer, Zohar, as a creative partner : authentic movement, breath, sound and silence, at the Hagiga festival near Jerusalem.
It's a tasty festival of movement, movers, and soul. Please see yourself invited.
