The ToWo Project

I would like to share with you a beautiful inspiring project for the African women in KwaZulu-Natal. A project that has catched my interest, and where I will be giving of the amazingly effective Trauma Healing technique called Somatic Experiencing (SE). The women would like to learn Video Documentation of their life stories, and obtain Trauma Healing skills. The KwaZulu-Natal and other areas in Africa have been affected badly by the AIDS/HIV epidemic, women and children are being raped for the wrong reasons and after superstitious stories about the ability to heal if one has sex with a virgin, more orphans are there every day, very little education and the community is being burdened much, physically and emotionally. Let alone that women that want to be tested for treatment might be threatened with eviction out of their own house, and they have no land rights. The Women in KwaZuluNatal want to document their life stories for local and international Lobbying, air their voices for their right on their bodies and property, they want to be able to heal their own and communities trauma so that they can create and take part in the new emerging Africa.
